Nero 8 errors - won't write my dvds!

Hey guys, i'm not that computer savvy but i will try to give you all the info you need so that you can help me.
The error message states;
could not perform start of disc at once.
burn process failed at 8x.
I converted the avi files with a programe called avi divx to dvd converter. I am using nero lite 8 software. The dvd discs i am using are infiniti 4.7gb lightscribe discs.
the error message that nero sent is below. I have tried writing at different speeds, this hasnt worked.

I would suggest buying different discs, as you are uding low quality discs

Nero 8 is reported to have some bugs in some versions. Try burning with Imgburn (is free) and see if that changes anything. However- get different discs. If you look around on the site, you will notice that Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, or if you can find discs Made in Japan( Soy-Maxell-Fuji), those are good quality media.

Well, we know is not Nero.
We also know that TDK-CMC MAG blow, which means- get some quality discs.
Aslso, I was looking at your burner, and it seems that the max. DVD speed is X8, and you have X16 discs.

changed the disks - works fine now. Thanks for the tips guys, i got ripped off with those disks and didn't know they were cheap ones :(

Sorry mate, many of us did that first time! I got ripped with a pack of 50 Imations 2 years ago! Learn and teach( I think that's what someone around here on AD says)
