I upgraded to 3.40OE-A a while back. I couldn't get ISO's working on that so I came back down to 1.50. I want to install Devhook .51, but when I upgraded to 3.40OE-A, it said you couldn't install any official firmware after that. And I read in the Devhook tutorial that you had to install 3.01 to install Devhook. My question is: Can I install
Devhook .51?

PS, I'm on Devhook .46 now. Installed it with Ultimate Installer

if you have firmware 1.5 then yes you can install device hook but i wouldn't bother nobody uses device hook anymore and the last version of device hook can only emulate firmware 3.11 all of the new games wont work because they require a higher firmware
you should install a custom firmware

I had custom 3.40OE-A, but I couldn't get ISO's working on it. So I went back to 1.50 and it worked

first you need to uninstall device hook
i never used the Ultimate Installer but if remember correctly that installer writes to the flash ,if it does make sure you uninstall the device hook files from flash 1
it should be an option in the device hook menu to do it

you cant go straight from 1.5 to 3.71m33 ,first you need 3.52m33, then install update 4 and you will have 3.52m33-4 only then you can install 3.71m33

see this guide to install 3.52m33-4
http://my.afterdawn.com/larrylje_redwings/blog_entry.cfm/2319

then see here to go from 3.52m33-4 to 3.71m33-4
skip the first part and start where it says
"Once your at 3.52 M33-3 or M33-4 follow the guide below... "

I already upgraded, but I didn't uninstall Devhook. I just formatted my PSP. Is that okay?

if your psp is working fine then yes it's ok

uninstalling device hook was just a precaution but if you upgraded with no problems it's because you never flashed any files and it's all ok

if you have problems running some games see this guides
