got this custom built pc
winxp home
amd athlon 64 4000+ 2.41ghz
2gb ram
nvidia geforce 7900 gs
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI

anyway when i got it i thought itd be able to handle some good graphics
it plays smoothly sometimes
but it will frequently glitchs/freezes for around 20 seconds. itll happen almost every 2 minutes then when i can finally play again part of the game will be morphed into some giant pointy structure.
i cant really describe it better than that, ill try and see if i can get a video of it with fraps or something. any suggestions on how i can fix this problem would be greatly appreciated :P
im pretty sure its not the videocard
my first thought was the processor
but im begining to think it might be the ram
