I use Nero 7 to burn DVD data. I was using DVD-R for a year... then I put in a DVD-R and the computer rejected it. I inserted a DVD+R and now it's the only type that works. PLUS is not as acceptable format and doesn't read in other systems very well................................................................. Any way to change back to "DVD-R" type recording?

Uninstall the burner, via Device Manager, reboot, and see if that solves the problem.

Also, try a different batch of -R media.

Life is good!

A DATA disk should be able to be read in a computer drive. It doesn't need to be fooled into thinking it's a DVD-Rom disc.
