after i have converted avi files into dvd format , i use nero to copy movie but when i play the movies thy seem to be out of sync, It is frustrating but sure someone has the answer here thanks...
Maybe use a software like Virtual Dub mod or MeGUI to find the audio delay. Maybe even just opening up the file with MKVMerge GUI will show the Delay. That is what you need to find. The audio delay. Then when you create your DVD, you have to set the audio delay so that the muxer will combine the audio and video so that it is the same as the original file.
I am unfamiliar with Nero, but muxman has a setting for audio delay as well as any good authoring software.
Try this but won't work on a gradual sync loss. If the audio is out a set amount on the encoded file (constant) even though the original file plays fine on your pc, try creating a new file to encode: http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/ (Download on left, then vl 17.7- binary) Drag your original file into the top window of AviMux_Gui, highlight it, select generate data and in the lower window, highlight the audio that appears and any delay in ms will appear to the right. If other than 0 appears, select start and encode that new file naming and placing as you wish; only takes a minute or two. I check all my avi files before conversion. Just to add, keep your burns around 4x or 1/2 the rated speed of the media.
