Pls Help me with this problem guys as i check the lsass program and when i click fix checked, after few seconds the program again runs.
I even have 1 GB RAM and still it is very slow. I copied a songs from a cafe to my pen drive and later to my PC, so pls if you guys can help me, i will be thankful to you.
Contrary to popular belief, hjt is not a remover or uninstaller of all malware. follow these directions only:
your lsass.exe isnt in the right directory. is your avg antivirus up to date?, if not update it.
first we will use hjt, then boot into safe mode to look for and delete a file:
start HJT, click the "Scan" button. check the items below, close any open windows, then click "Fixed checked"
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe
-----------------------------------------
boot to safe mode. you can reach safe mode by tapping the f8 key during a computer restart, chose the first option from the list: safe mode
you might copy/paste this into notepad so you can read it in safe mode;
once in safe mode navigate to the c:windows directory and look for a folder called system. inside the folder should be the lsass.exe.
delete the lsass.exe only there is a lsass.exe in the system32 dir which is ok.
still in safe mode run your antivirus.
reboot normally and do a online scan here:
ESET online scanner:

Thanks for the reply.
dude i some how managed to delete the virux lsass.exe by changing the name and then restarting and then i deleted it but the hjt couldnt fix the problem, but still some of my programs like frozen throne at the beginning[loading] it is very slow and when i tried to scan online it came as the internet explorer has occured a problem and needs to be closed. Pls help me what to do next.
dude, you didnt follow directions.
did you do the online scan? your using msconfig to disable startup items seeing it all in hjt log would be helpful. your new hjt log is looking mighty slim also.
ya I tried to do a online scan but still in middle of scanning it says internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. pls help what might be wrong. is it my net connection or some error in registry..........!
ok forget the online scan. update your antivirus and spyware doctor. boot into safe mode by tapping the f8 key during a computer restart, chose the first option safe mode. once in safe mode run your av and spyware doctor. looks like you have been doing things on your own with hjt, renaming files, using msconfig, etc. i have no idea what you've done.
