I'm just wondering what kind of temperatures are normal for NVidia cards? I've heard they run at higher temps than most ATI's, I've got a 7600GT myself and it idles at around 70C, sometimes going down to 65C, but rarely.

In summer currently, it idles at around 80-85C; when playing games it can go upto 95 or more!

Seems kinda high by any standard but either way I don't experience artifacting, crashes, reboots or anything to suggest this is damaging my hardware.
The Temperature Threshold is set to 125C by default so I get the feeling NVidia cards are designed to run at higher temps.

So is this normal?
What kind of temps do the rest of you NVidia users get?

with my old 7600gt core overclocked to 680 from 540 it idled at 50 and under load got to 75. if you want to lower your temps you should download riva tuner and use that to control te fan speed. also add an extra case fan to improve circulation inside the case and get some air moving.

Yeah I got Riva Tuner, fan is running at 100% constantly.
Hmm looks like it may just be my card.

Currently it's idling at around 68-70C, since it's a bit cooler over here in Australia. Few days it was 41C and it was idling at around 88C!!

Yea, those temps are way high! The 95C on load is what scares me though... The 8800GT gets to 90C load, but the 7600 aint no 8800GT.

Try re-seating the cooler with some AS5 maybe?
