So like, i was on cfw, 3.71 m33-4. and yesterday i was having problems loading saved game files on a game called Disgaea, and it would freeze on that part. So, after trying differnt things, like diff memory cards, etc.. So like, i thought it might be something with my psp, so, i went into recovery, and into flash0, and deleted what was in it, and replaced em with old flash0 files that i backed up from before, but now, it only shows black screen, and i got a working magic card [ i think.. ] and a softmodded pandora battery.. So, putting the card, and the battery in, the green light goes on automaticly, but the lights for the wifi/memory card dont light up at all, and i've done it over, and over. Need some help now. Please and thanks.

I doubt this will work and only do this if you have a FAT PSP.

See if you can get into recovery menu, Hold the R-Shoulder bottom down and turn on the PSP.

If it goes into recovery menu go HERE and follow the guide toward the bottom for semi-bricked PSP FAT running 3.71 M33.

If you can't then you might need to try re-creating the Magic Memory Stick.

Do you have an extra PSP or a card reader in the PC?

If so go HERE and follow the top part of the guide to make a Universal Unbricker Magic memory Stick.

Then use that and the Pandora Battery you already have to recover the PSP.

It sounds like your magic memory stick files are not in order if your psp isn't bringing up a menu-I would follow larrylje's advice and remake the memory stick from scratch. Then you should be able to unbrick once your memory stick is right.

For future reference, do not delete the contents of flash0-that is also where the recovery console is housed-which is why you were unable to access recovery mode. Replacing the files with an older version or one that is not a recent backup from your own psp is also a no-no. These days you really dont even need to access flash0 anyway because the custom themes can just be placed on the memory stick.

I have a feeling something has happened to the Magic memory Stick you have. Try re-creating it again.

If the green light turns on when you place the Pandora Battery into the PSP and you have a proper Magic Stick then it will work.

If it doesn't then more then likely it is an issue with the Magic Memory Stick.

Mkay, well, just making sure i didnt have the same files, and had to redownload em again? but yeah, i'll try again. And Like, i went into flash0, and deleted the files from my previous 3.71 m33-4. <_<. [ Without Vectorex theme. ] So yeah.. i'll try Larry's universial soon. [ and the universial i have, worked before, cause like, i unbricked my psp a couple times before, and i put my GF's psp on Cfw also.. And then now it suddenly doesn't work, so pretty weird, ya know?

you said the green light comes on as soon as you insert the battery? or are you manually switching on the psp using the power switch?

Have you tried using your pandora setup on a different psp to verify a menu appearing, or have you tried already with the same results?

The memory stick you are using is a genuine? and you got no errors while formatting or when writing the IPL to the memory stick using larrylje's guide?

I would suggest trying a different memory stick for starters-and you said your GF has a psp running custom firmware? Why not run the battery creator program on there to make certain the battery you are using is indeed in service mode. It sounds like it is from what you are saying, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to double-check. But for sure try a different memory stick...
