i think its customfirmware not really sure and yes it says (DADADA)...

Go to System Settings then System Information and the firmware is under System Software.

LOL I thought you where nuts and did a check and this is the error you get when trying to update to offical firmware from DAX custom firmware.

So your trying to go to official firmware or are you trying to go to a higher custom firmware?

i'd stick with custom firmware. best would be to go to 3.71 m33-4 with 1.50 v2 addon.

Nope I do not have AIM.

Go HERE and follow this guide to create a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick that will update your PSP to 3.71 M33-2. AFter you install the 3.71 M33-2 convert your battery back to normal.

Then try installing 3.80 offical firmware from there.

Rather than all that pandora nonsense-And if you really want to revert back to official firmware-Wouldn't it just be easier to run the recovery eboot from 3.03OE to downgrade to 1.50? Then install the official firmware from 1.50?? Or does that version (3.03OE) not have a recovery console? If not, I mean I would just stick with custom firmware-It gets updated as soon the sony updates come out. If you are just updating for the sake of a game-why not update your custom firmware using one of larrylje's guides in his blog?

You just have a dated version of custom firmware, alot has changed since then-you may want to reconsider..

Dude let him take his decision with pandora he can either upgrade to 3.71m33-2 or OFW 3.71 it will depend on him, I dont find a reason why I will leave my CFW for an OFW... nonsense at that point for me

I guess so....I was just going by what the OP was wishing to do-Which was reverting back to official firmware. I didnt see why pandora would be necessary if he was just wanting to go back to the dark side...I mean if you dont know alot about the pandora setup-It would seem like more hassle than its worth to go through the process of making a battery and memory stick, but on the other hand while he has cfw why not make one right? At least he would have an out if he decided that official firmware isnt that great after all..
