I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook that I am looking to connect to my HDTV, but my HDTV does not have a VGA input. The notebook has and S-Video and VGA output. I tried using the S-Video, it works but it is hard to read the text. The only other option I can think of at this time without spending hundrends of dollars is a VGA to component cable. I don't care if the piture is not ture HD, but just want to be able to ready everything on my TV screen. Has anyone done this yet? And if so does it work? I hope so, I just purchased the VGA to component cable.
