Help needed to run this movie

I dowloaded this movie with these extensions
[hovzr]love-actually.xvid.[hovzr]-full.mpg

Tried to run it with QuickTime but could not run this movie because " a software component needed by the movie could not be found.

Any help pls. I'm a newby in this subject

Well if it is a Mpeg1 file you can use Media Player to play it But if it is a Mpeg2 file you will need to use a software DVD Player Like WinDVD or PowerDVD.....Cheers

The name of the file is misleading. One part suggests its an XVID format file while the final extension says its an MPEG. If playing it with DVD software doesnt work try renaming it to .AVI and playing with Windows Media Player. You may need XVID codecs which can be found on Afterdawn I believe or through a quick search of the internet. You can also use a little utility called GSpot which will tell you what codecs are used in the file. Good luck!
