I have this laptop that won't turn on but the battery charging indicator is on. Any Ideas?

Can you give a bit more information on exactly is happening? What are the system specs and how old is the system? Does it make any sound when you attempt to turn it on? Have you dropped it or has it taken a hard knock lately?

I fixed the problem yesterday actually. A ribbon cable that went from the on switch to the motherboard wasn't in securely.
