I have a dell xps gen 3 desktop and the green case that holds the fans broke off. I tried mounting them, ut dont think i'm doing it right. When I check the cpu heat sink, the top of it is extremely hot. Is it supposed to be like that? any suggestions on what I should do?

ps3 with 20gb hard drive

xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.

White and black 1.5 psp's

I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

Wait, so how did you remount it? Did the HSF completely fall off?

Download a program like speedfan and tell us your CPU temp. It should be under 40C idle.
