Hi, there should be no problem if the buffer level on Nero drops, even if it drops to 0% as long as you have buffer under-run technology on your drive it should be fine.

About the communication error, im afraid i cant help

I have a Pioneer A05 dvd-r burner. I have had it for about a year. I installed it, everything was working fine and now all of a sudden it's not in my comupter folder. I uninstalled and installed it. I have updated it. I have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas?

I also had a lot of headaches with Nero. Spent a lot of time with their tech support people..... suggestion: download the updates #1 and #2 from the Nero site. That and more RAM solved my problems. how much RAM do you have? How big is the file you are trying to burn?

I had the same thing. Changed the brand of media I was using (to a Ritek based one) and it went away.
