Hello-I'm looking to purchase a hard drive camcorder as a gift for a friend. I'm wondering if I should purchase an HD or SD camcorder. Are there any that record and play in both SD and HD and can also record to DVD in both formats? I'm concerned that if he doesn't have an HD recorder and DVD player it will really limit what he can do, as he doesn't have an HD DVD recorder or DVD player or an HD monitor on his computer. Or should I just purchase as SD camcorder?
