Hello

This is my problem I'm trying to play Halo pc. Here are the rquirments:
* Microsoft® Windows® 98SE/Me/XP/2000 Got this
* PC with 733 MHz equivalent or higher processor Got this
* 128 MB of system RAM Got this
* 1.2 GB available hard disk space Got this
* 8x speed or faster CD-ROM drive Not sure, how do I check
* 32 MB T&L capable video card required Not sure, how do I check
* Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audioGot this
* Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing devicegot
* 56.6 Kbps or better modem or LAN for online play; broadband to run a server got

Now this is my computer info
System: Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Computer:
Intel Celeron processor
996Mhz, 384 MB of RAM
I have DirectX 9.0

Graphics card :
Name:Intel(R)82815 Graphics controller (Microsoft
Approx. Total memory: 32.0MB
Current Display: 1024 x 768 (24 bit)(75Hz)

Now when I run the game this happens:
Its says machine info: 850MHz, 384MB, 8M Intel 815 (0x1132)
So I click continue in safe mode and this happens:
A problem occured initializing Direct 3D. Hardware acceleration may be disabled, please run DXDIAG

But I can run Counter Strike 1.6. Perfectly fine. Could someone please explain to me what the problem is.

you need to ditch the integrated graphics, and get a video card. basically, the whole system needs to be overhauled to get it working smoothly.

you'd need a new power supply, a videocard (depending on your ports), and more ram (preferably the maximum amount the mobo can handle).

basically you need new components. and seeing that you have a 1ghz celeron, most likely you will need a pci videocard. but you may have an agp slot.

the only way to make sure is to open the computer and look at the slots.
