Hey everyone, i've come to seek help yet again!

I run on XP PRO SP2 with Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers. I use regular headphones in a front audio jack on my computer, and the mic is plugged into the back. I don't have problems with my Vista, installed on this same computer, but on my XP pro, the audio coming out of my headphones (outbound) is picked up on my "recording" or line-in, so when i use a micrphone program like "Ventrilo", my friends get a terrible echo of my inbound sound. If i test for new audio hardware in the control panel, it the volume bar for "recording" moves when my friends talk...along with my other sounds on my computer. Any help?

Go Start> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume Control.
Click on "Options" at the top and then click "Properties".

Where it says Mixer Device, click on the drop-down menu and select Line In/Mic In. Then where it says "Show the following Volume Controls", click all the boxes below and hit OK.

Now check the Mute All box and close Volume Control. That should do it.

Hmm, unfortunately that didn't work =(, i still get an outbound sound echo, but thanks for trying =).

I don't know what the problem is...i dont have this problem on Vista, and its the same driver, just for XP :-/

Any other suggestions anyone?
