Problems burning with Nero 8 Trial Version

I had Nero 6 previously installed on my computer and after having so many problems with it uninstalled it and replaced it with the Nero 8 Trial Version available for download from the official site.
To my frustration, I'm having one of the same problems as before and near the end of burning a data DVD am getting the "Could not perform end of Disc-at-Once" error.
I'm not sure what sort of information you might need to be able to help (new kid here) but I did save the error report so I've pasted it below.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I really need to get some information off of my computer...

The only thing that I can see, your burner's firmware is about 4-5 versions old, so your burner does not recognize the media. here you can update:

Ritek are not the best media, but updating the firmware might fix your problem.

Not a lot of free memory, try closing down any other applications running at the same time.
