Hi all,

I'm having trouble ripping Old School. I did a forum search & couldn't find anything on it so I apologize if this issue has been addressed before. It's hard to believe that I'm the only person that's had trouble with this movie.

My usual method has been RipIt4Me> DVD Decrypter> DVD Shrink> Nero 7. I also have the newest version of DVD Fab & FreeDVD that I use as backup options if my norm doesn't work for some reason. These 2 options have worked great for me until this movie. While running DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab, it'll process to about 51% and then freezes. I get a popup saying there's a cycle redundancy error & can't continue. I also tried running DVD Fab with it's PathPlayer option enabled to ensure copy protection is removed with no luck.

Any ideas? Any help suggestions would be great. Thanx much.

or you have a bad/dirty/scratched dvd try cleaning it off then transcode it or exchange it for another dvd. its an older movie so its probably not the protection

Yes. It shouldn't be a copy protection. I suggest you try to play the DVD on your computer to check if it can be played well. If not, that means the DVD has been scratched so your drive can't read it out. Try to copy it from another drive or computer, maybe you will have a good luck.
