I recently had vista and xp running as a dual boot - VISTA=C:/ XP=D:/(on a pre-installed Vista). I have now removed XP from D:/ but in the boot menu whenever i restart my computer the XP entry is still there. How can i remove the XP entry from the boot menu?

You need run bcedit.exe from the command prompt or run box

Or Google for bcedit tips and tutorials

In XP you can follow these instructions:

Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery (Settings) > System Startup (Edit)

then just delete the line with Windows XP. I think it's similar in Vista, not sure.
