Hi.
Does the Orange Memory stick light blink? If it constantly blinks, then it's working on the mod.
Also try putting the battery in first then memory stick, might not make a difference thou.
If it doesn't work try looking over this guide:
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-hardware-guides/23870-how-create-pandoras-battery-slim-ms-without-fat-psp.html

Try this:
1.Put the memory stick in
2.Hold the R trigger
3.Put the battery in
4.Release the R trigger after a few seconds, after you put the battery in.
5.Should be ready to go
I am no expert at this but I can create the pandora and have upgraded/downgraded many times.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
Good luck!

geestar20, I think you're talking about UPMS, there is no need of holding the R button, nyjetstefan, I suggest you this one, but first , i have a question to u: What program did u use to create the magic MS?
Now, this is what I suggest to u :
-FIRST< put the magic memory stick inside, then place the pandora battery. If the screen it still remains black, then you have to do a blind install. If it is so, the memry stick flash start blnking, and the wi fi flash should start blinking slowly. Then, when is ready, press X.If the memory stick and the wi-fi flashes start blinking fastly at the same time then the custom firmware is being installed. After that, it will either shut down automatically, either you will have to press x for it to shut down. Also if they are not blinking I think that you didn't convert the pandora battery succesfully , or I dont know what to say.Just say me what program did u use for the magic memory stick installer.

so, u used TOTALNewbi easyInstaller? You'll have to do a blind install if the downgrade menu is not showing, but the wi-fi, memory stick flash lights start blinking.I had to do a blnd install last night on a psp slim... Oh my gosh....a very important thing: Are you using a slim psp or a fat psp? What downgrader did u chose on the pandora principal menu, when u have to choose the installer?

What type of PSP do you have a FAT or SLIM?
What firmware are you on?

If you have a FAT PSP then the blind install isn't the issue.
If it is a SLIM then you can try the blind install or use this guide HERE which uses an easy installer with SLIM video support so you can see what your doing.
This also can be an issue with the Memory Stick or the easy installer didn't properly make the Magic memory Stick. This is common when using Vista as the PC OS (XP is recommended).

ya so my fat psp still isnt working, i also before i used that installer did it kind of manually and it didnt work either, the memory card light still isnt going on and i was using a vista computer but then i tried doing it on a virtual xp pc and that didnt work either, so i guess my last option is to try on a normal xp computer

what I could suggest now is to start over. Plug in your PSP through ac adapter (with out the battery) and see if it starts up. If it does then I would connect the PSP to your computer and drag and drop all the contents from your MS in a folder and start over.
Reason I say save the contents from your MS is that I hope you saved your battertys epromm to revert back to original battery and not Pandora battery.

The guide I provided has video support for SLIM PSP use. You will see the menu screen when the Magic Memory Stick boots up.
My suggestion is try using a PC that is running XP.
If that still doesn't work then try using a different Memory Stick.

So, if i try to install a cfw on a slim with TOTALNewbi easyInstaller and i choose in the pandora extended menu 4(universal unbr for fat and slims) it will 100% make a magic memory card that doesnt support the installation video, so i cant see anything? I thought that it will do it only on some slims psp's.

I originally had an older easy installer version on the guide that I had created. It installed Universal Unbricker V1/V2 which didn't have SLIM video support.
I have rectified that issue by updating my guides using an updated easy installer version that installs the Universal Unbricker V3 which has video support for SLIM's.
