Just got my first modded systems the other day. Got a PS2 and an xbox. My best friend has an xbox he is wanting to get modded up. who or where is the best place to look for getting this done. Also, I have messed with mine a lot but it has a original nintendo emulator on it but when I click on it the screen just goes blank???
I checked and there are about 40 games on the HD but it won't do anything.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!

To get your games to work, clear the E:\Cache folder on the Xbox HDD via FTP!
To get your mates modded, click my signature and learn all about softmodding!

OK, thanks
I have a bunch of roms on my computer. Since I don't have a way to hook up my xbox to my computer can I just put them on a RW disc and copy them that way???
I don't know about doing his ourselves. Is there anyone that he could just have do it and "compensate" them accourdingly??

So do I do the soft modd first or do I swap out the HD first???? The part that i am unsure of is the whole (unplugging HD's and all that). I am sure I can do it, just want to make sure I do it RIGHT the first time (dont want a paper weight that looks like a game system).

Softmod the system now, backup your eeprom file to a PC (For safe keeping), then change the HDD with my 'HDD Upgrade tutorial' and re-softmod the new one!

Did the softmod work ? If it didn't and you want your xbox modded I can do it for you, that's if you don't mind posting it. I'm in South Oz.

I might be intersted. I am in central Oz :)
my email is **removed**
Give me a shout and we can talk about it. THANKS!!!

Which dash and which emulator are you using? Most xbox's are setup E,F,G drives in the apps folder or emulators folder. If your emulator is running properly and you don't see any roms you have to check the location specified to the emulator. Usually it's same drives (E,F,G) Roms folder or in the emulators folder. Some emulators have a html file that you can check and change the location.
Also if you mod your xbox and the games freeze after the first save you have to patch your ms dash to 5960 and almost remod the xbox. If you need to do this name your games folder games1 games2 ect and they won't be overwritten when remoding.
I'm gettin more and more into the whole xbox community, i've been modding for years and recently sold 8 xbox's in 1 huge order over to soldiers in iraq. Figured i'd join up and participate.
Anyway let me know if this helps you

The game I need is the actual xbox game so I can do the softmodd to get the epprom for when I do the hardmodd after. I got a 100 gig HDD to put in. Just haven't had time to go the movie gallery or blockbuster to rent Splintercell, Mech Assault or the 007 game. I will try checkin the HTML file for game location on my buddies (it is the one that won't play the NES rom's). THANKS for the help!!!!
