hey everyone i just got cfw on my psp and had a quick question.. which firmware is better for homebrew on the psp 1.50 or 3.71 m33-2????

Well 1.50 doesn't have the original 1.00 exploit that 3.71 M33 has. But M33's 1.50 kernel homebrew may not be as well as the original 1.50, it probably is, but I'm not sure. 3.71 M33-2 has alot more features then 1.50 anyways so stay there. And in conclusion I'd say 3.71 M33-2 (or any of the latest firmwares tbh) is just as good for playing most homebrew games.

3.71 M33-4 with 1.50 kernel plugin v2.

Best of both words, does everything that 1.50 could do, everything 3.71 could do, and more.

ok but when i try to run some homebrew games on there about 50% of them dont work.... i am putting them in the GAME folder.. should i be putting them in the game150 or game271 folder? o i am also using the IRSHELL program (alt. xmb) could tghat have nethin to do wit it?

Ya I think you put the 1.50 kernel games into the Game150 folder and 3.71 kernel goes to Game371 folder. You can alternately switch the Game folder's kernel in the M33 recovery menu (hold right-trigger as PSP is turning on) to suit your needs. Oh and I don't think IRShell has anything to do with it because I don't get any problems with it when I use it (it rocks because I can still use XMB). Do you have the 1.50 kernel addon? Is your PSP a Slim or a Phat?

ya i have a phat and i believe i have the kernal i set it to 1.5... but when i go to apps in srshell it just says game could not be started
