The GTS G92 is almost as fast as the GTX but cheaper, so the GTX is out. It comes down to choosing between the GTS G92 and the HD3870. The GTS is a fair bit faster than the 3870, but the Radeon features newer technology (DX10.1 capable, and SM4.1 supported) which enables more features to be enabled in newer DX10 games. The radeon also renders a significantly higher image quality than the GTS. On this basis I recommend the HD3870, especially if you play at resolutions of 1920x1200 or lower.

thanks for the response so i am gonna go with the 3870 cause i am only using a shitty 13 inch monitor. is the chipset so much worse that it is doing as badly as it is compared to the gts or is it just bad drivers, because everything else is higher than the gts

Well do look at the price difference as well. The chipset is obviously not as good, but ATI has been known to make bad drivers. I have to say many people experienced a large increase in FPS with their latest drivers(With my new HD 3850 I started off with the latest drivers so that was the base performance for me) so ATI is getting quite a bit better. If they keep this up the 3870 could get much more powerful but there is only so much you can do with the same hardware.

The 3870 is approximately as fast as the 8800GT, not the GTS.

You could run that lot of some 420W PSUs, but only good ones. It's crucially important you get a decent PSu for the build, so don't re-use an old cheap one lying around, get something like this:

Yeah DEFINITELY NOT gonna be running that card on that PSU. Get a decent power supply before you even think of getting a high end card like that or risk burning down your entire computer.

Umm you don't need to use two PSUs. Your PC wont even have room for it. I suppose you could power your entire PC of two PSUs but it's not a good idea. If you want to use it's fans then take it apart and take them out.

As for the Antec it will probably run a HD 3870 and 8800GTs but not much more than that.

That PSU will probably be alright, but it may struggle with future upgrades.

Yeah well it's a little thing to take in to consideration. If you buy a good powersupply now you would save more money than buying a barely adequate one and then buying another one down the road.
