So i had nero 6.3.1.12 that came bundles with my sony dru-710A dl dvd drive and for some reason my bonehead friend decided to uninstall it because he got a hold of a "cracked" version of nero 8 ultra edition and now the thing is saying that it detected unauthorized use. so now i have to uninstall it but i dont have a copy of the nero version that came with my drive which i have a serial number for. does anyone know where i can get this version or the most recent version of this that my key will allow me to use. thanks in advance...

First you have to download Nero Clean Tool and uninstall Nero 8:

Then you can install a version of Nero 6:

Go to filehippo.com and download the latest version of Nero 6.0,
Version 6.6.1.15
Your serial number should work with any version of Nero 6.X

However, I was looking at your likn and mine, and I think it comes without Nero Vision? Or am I mistaking?

hey just wanted to let you know that the install was a success and all is up and running perfectly. FYI for all those still on 6.3.1.12 upgrade to this version because this has the booktype option in cd/dvd speed under "extras" when the older version did not. thanks a million for all the help!!!
