I played the demo of Crysis last night to see if it was playable on my PC.
I checked the FPS using "FRAPS" and I got mostly 25 to 30 FPS during gameplay.
Admitedley, everything is set to low so I am missing out on the capabilities of this game on a high end PC but it still looked a great game and graphically still looked fine to me.
At least i could consider buying it when I finish COD4.

PC specs as follows,
AMD Sempron 3000+
Winfast Geforce 7600 GT 256MB DDR3
1.5 Gig of Kingston RAM
120 Gig and 250 Gig 7200RPM PATA HDD's

yeah, well based on my tests and pc specs, I would certainly hope to be able to play it quite nicely with a gfx card like yours.
I don't have a PCI-E board yet but am considering going to dual core.
But at least I know I can take my time and plan my upgrade.
Problems is I might end-up playing Crysis now & then playing it again later in the year.

My specs are pretty similar to yours and I'm running it just fine at Medium-Low settings, @ around 30-35FPS. It can drop down to 20 at times but it usually stays surprisingly stable.

There's still plenty of fight left in computer's like ours.. ;)
