Hi guys, been looking through the forums and have learned quite a bit about modding my PSP which im planning to set about doing, having just got my memory card.

I have a Slim PSP version 3.71 with a 4GB sony memory stick pro duo.
I would like to set about getting some sort of emulator on there so i can play a few games off my memory card.

There is 1 or 2 things i cant get my head around though. Was just wandering if anyone can offer useful advise, as you have with everyone else.


If i was to use my current memory card to make a magic memory stick, would i still be able to use it as a normal memory card afterwards?

the answer is yes, im not sure if 4 gb can be magic though ...

Some people say it can, some say it cant. why wouldnt you be able to use a larger memory card for this job?

Also i want to get hold of a datel tool battery, as i cant make the pandoras battery, nor have the spare one to do it, but from what i have read, do you only use it the one time just to unbrick the PSP?

Oh! I have news

All the tutorials i have seen tells you how to downgrade to firmware version 1.50

Upon looking over the ULTIMATE FIRMWARE FAQ ive realised that the version 3.71 is actually the SOFTWARE version, not the firmware version, which is already 1.5

Does that mean i can go straight to installing CFW on my psp?

wait a second ... 3.71 is actually the software, but the software is also the firmware. If u do have 1.5 then this option shouldnt be available on ur psp. Can u go to internet like google.ca
