i just did the nero cd/dvd speed test, i am not quite sure how to interpret the results. i used a verbatim dvd+r dl, these were the results from the disk quality check:

You should be burning those DL's at 2.4X or 4X for best results. Also post a screenshot in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/540688
