I don't see the bold, white lettering "Verbatim" "Dvd+R 16x" on the clear part of the inner hub on Joshewah's pic,but the pic of the disc is dead on for regular Verbatim media..The +R DL's look pretty close, but have the inner hub lettering in black.

Some people consider that lettering as Branded Media.

Top notch stuff and easy to find on sale at most Brick and mortar stores for under $15 per 50 pk..

Verbatim also makes Full hub/reg hub inkjet printable-matte/glossy,shiny silver inkjet printable, and shiny thermal printable, and Lightscribe media which won't look anything close to Joshewah's pic.

I don't hear too much about branding anymore. Ritek branding was always popping up on the older 4x and 8x.

When you say "branding" you are speaking about the images and logos that are on the product correct?

Branding would be the lettering around the inner hub-(center hole)

Some discs have letters/numbers etched or pressed- in the center hub-very hard to read.Maxell, office depot is a good example.

Others will have the the letters/numbers printed on them in bold white, blue, or black,a lot easier to see. Verbatim, sony,Memorex.

Some may consider a difference. Some may think the non branded are factory 2nds. I don't let it bug me.The 8x and 16x media is a heck of a lot better than that older 4x crap.

Thanks for the Help with pics. I always thought the 'branding' was what was on the disc body, not the hub.
