I just got my M3 DS Real a few days ago after borrowing a friends DS Simply. I have the Crimson DS which I've read has had some problems with cards. The DS Simply worked great but I couldn't get the Real to work at all. I then backed up his 1GB card and put the system files on it and the Real worked fantastic!! Ok, so I got a bad Micro card. I went to Staples and bought a Scandisk 2GB micro card, formatted it (FAT32), put system files(V2.9), game folders and it doesn't work either. Doesn't even get into the language screen. I'm at a loss now!! The card I got with the Real was a Kingston 1GB and I was having trouble getting it formatted, kept saying unable to format but it finally worked. I also noticed that if you looked at the menu pics in the skin folders were messed up on the Kinston card but not in the folder on my computer. My friends card is a cheap PQ1 1GB card he got off ebay. I'm not very good with all this computer stuff so it wouldn't suprise me if I'm missing something. Could anyone give me some ideas? This is my first post and this is a great sight!!!

hmmmmmmmmm my wife has a crimson and black ds lite with a m3ds real and 1gb kingston micro sd memory card .
shes had it since christmas day and has no probs playing anything ive put on it for her.

this is how i set up the memory card and ds real -

1, formatted the memory card to fat ( fat16 )
2, loaded the latest ( at the time ) kernel V2.8 system folder.
3, created a NDS folder on the memory card and put the games in there ( .nds files )
4, put the memory card in the m3ds real and put it in the nintendo ds , switched on and played .

seemed easy to me and has played without any trouble since , woof811.

if your having trouble just follow what i did using the latest kernel V2.9 and see how you go.

Small question: does it matter what your memory card if formatted to? Mine is formatted to fat32 and I'm wondering if fat16 would fix some problems.

I got mine to work by using the USB Flash card adaptor. For some reason when I used a universal card reader with the MicroSD adaptor it would corrupt the system files. Since I started using the USB adaptor everything has worked great!! Yes, I have mine formatted to FAT32
