Hey
1.. im thinkin of buying a ps2 but ive heard there are ps2 version 1 and ps2 version 2 what are the differences??
2.. Where the hell do you get a chip so you can play burnt games?
3.. what programs do you need to burn games
4.. how do you burn games
5.. how much do you think it will cost..

thanks guys just really want to find out stuff before i go and buy it and then later find out i cant do it. lol

1. v1-v10 ps2 are the fat ps2. v11-v17(?) are the slim ps2.

2. either find someone near you that will install one, or you must look online for a chip (very hard for u.s. residents)

3. dvd decrypter and imgburn is all you need, and is free software.

4. use dvd decrypter to rip the games onto the computer, and imgburn to burn the game onto a dvd.

5. most likely you will pay around $40-50 for one of the best modchips, and $20-25 on a pack of verbatim dvds.

some dude down in morwell installs them i think so i will go have a look.
people say that if you dont have a good quality disc it may cause a disc error.. have you ever had a proplem with verbatim

witch ps2 is better the fat or the slim.??

verbatims are one of the medias to use. practically everyone will metion them. but i don't use a modchip, as i have a hdd installed, and run my games off of it.

the fat ps2 is the best. my v7 hasn't been opened, is still on the original laser, and i'm the original owner.

so in my case i would by the modchip and then just buy verbatim dvds and copy them and then it should work on my p2s coz i hav a mod chip installed?

wait if you have a hdd and not a mod chip how does your ps2 read the burnt games?
or do you just load the originals on the ps2?

witch is better getting a hdd installed?
or getting a modchip and burning all the time?
can you get both?
