hi guys i have a problem i was not able to solve.
up to about few weeks ago i converted xvid movies to dvd with any of the programs i had(vso dvxtodvd /easy dvd creator/dvd flick/winavi) and they played fine on the pc or standalone player.
now (i don't know when it changed)all of the above prog.still convert fine but when i play the dvd files, either directly through a player in my pc(wmp/vcl/nvdvd)or burned in my stand alone player, the images are jerky.
before it did not use to do that!
when i watch a movie now and the camera action is fast moving the image jerks and it's not smooth.
i don't know what's going on :any ideas?i cannot pinpoint when this change occured because i'm always installing new converting programs ect.
the original xvid plays fine, and judging by the fact that the vob file plays jerky also when played directly in vlc media player,i thing there something wrong in the encoding.but how can that be that all of the programs use the same encoder?expecially dvd flick who uses it's own encoder?
it's driving me nuts!
help!
ps:my info

So they play fine from your PC, but start the stuttering when played from a disc? What brand discs are you using?

so the actual vob files "not burnt to dvdr" as files play jerky?

well so we can rule out dvdr media used being different batch etc...

which only leaves you installing and unistalling software has cocked up your codecs...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
