I have Sony 2.82 Firmware. I'd like to play the homebrew Wolfenstein 3D download on PSP-Hacks. I've tried many methods to no success. If anyone could put the directions into "common" man's terms, I'd be forever grateful.

Update: I have 3.51 M33 Creator as a game option, but it gives the 80020148 message. I don't know how to use the official 1.50 item. If you can help please tell me.

If you want to get to 1.50, you have three options:
1: Upgrade to 3.03 and downgrade using a GTA: Liberty city stories umd.
2: Upgrading to 3.50 and downgrade using a Lumines umd
3: Create a pandora battery and magic memory stick.

I already had a Liberty City Stories, but it's a GH version. Is there just a fw out there so I don't hae to get another game?

there are a few but they are all 2.80 or below
you will need to choose one of the three options given above by PlowKing
1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

I'll do #3, but do I really have to take a pin out of a battery? And is it possible to do a "clean sweep" so I get my PSP to factory state?

Doesn't Sony have a update to 2.0 or whatever on their site? And is it possible to "seperate" the game and the update file on GTA? Sorry for the trouble.
Update: If I upgrade to Sony 3.10, can I downgrade to 1.5 without the games?

Read the options above.
Those are your only options.
No getting around it.
You will find it hard to get future help if you keep this attitude up of second guessing members advice even after it has been confirmed those are your only options by second member.
Why would anyone want to help someone that doesn't listen and follow the advice they have given. I would rather ignore questions you ask then go through the headache of you second guessing everything I recommend to you.

If you have access to a PSP that has custom firmware already on it go HERE and follow this guide to create the Universal Unbricker V3 that will install 3.71 M33-2 to your PSP.
If you only have access to your Official firmware PSP go HERE and follow this guide to create the Universal Unbricker V3 that will install 3.71 M33-2 to your PSP.

There's a new problem. Does anyone know which side the board is on when you dismantle the battery? Mine's covered in silver wrapping, and I don't know where to cut.

I have one of those if you stand it up the parts are on the top ones. I cut wire 5, and it doesn't work.
