Hey, I have a newer version of the slimPs2 (like v14).
I've successfully backed up a few DVD ps2 games, but I'm having problems with Super Bust a Move 2. I'm assuming it's a CD game, as it's roughly 500MB. I also patched it with the pal2ntsc and all I get is a black screen.
Is this a problem with the picture, or is the iso itself bad?
btw, when the screen goes black, the disc continues to spin at a very high speed, letting off a lot of air. Just saying, in case it helps.
You dont really need to patch it to ntsc unless if your tv only supports a ntsc signal, have you tried without patching it, caused a few problems with my ps2 it the past, so I stopped patching the games.
I definitely got a few blank screens after patching iso's, so I stopped patching them altogether, only down side was the screen was moved down slightly, but I was able to reconfig my tv for the screen to move up, so the problem was dealt with, then I ended up modding my ps2 with a matrix chip, because swap magic was really annoying. And the last time I actually bought, or backed up a ps2 game was around 1 and a half years ago, so I really cant remember exactly how it worked out.
Try burning the game at a faster speed, like 40x/48x, cd's are not really a problem, and burn the iso with dvd decrypter or nero rather than imgburn, see if that makes a difference.
