im going to get a laptop for my dad, but im having trouble figuring out whats a good cpu. and im wondering how good a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2.0ghz is. i know its not as good as like any cpu with 2 cores, but this isnt going to be a gaming computer. i dont know much about AMD, mainly just intel, so i just wanted to know, how good that cpu is. and like what would be its intel counterpart.

like is AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2.0ghz better or worse than a Intel® Core? 2 Duo T7250 (2.00GHz)

From my experience the only difference I have had is temperature. The AMD has always run a little warmer than the intel. Some people are partial to Intel and others to AMD. It is just like the difference between coke and pepsi, it is all personal preference. They are both good processors.

I'd imagine they perform quite similarly, but I have no idea exactly what the difference is. All I know is that the T7250 is a very fast CPU.

Lol well put. I have used both processors and I like the Intel range a bit better because AMD clock timings and such just confuse me. Intel ftw.
