S-video cable I don't know where to post sorry

Ok my computer has an S-video output so I want to hook it up to my tv to watch movies. I want to know how to get sound off the tv to. It has a headphone jack but that's it. My computer also has an hdmi output but I don't have an hdmi input on my tv. I was just wandering if anyone knew anything. Again I'm sorry for posting here but I didn't see anywhere else to post. If someone can tell me a better place to post I can do that. Thanks guys for all your help on here.

If you've got the video working with the S-video cable off of your video card then all you need to do is find any kind of audio outputs from your PC. if you don't have any on-board or add-on audio cards with audio outputs then look for any headphone output jacks and try to piece together the proper cables (1/8" to audio R.C.A. right/left jacks) then plug them into your televisions "Audio Input" jacks. If you have any questions about how to do any of this or what you need to use just ask.

Another idea.... just use your PC speakers for sound.

True, as long as the two are pretty close to each other. Otherwise you just need to figure out which way to go and buy extra cables or wires to make up the length.

Ok, this is what I did with my setup.

I didn't have a "audio out", for lack of a beter word, "thingy". I like you only had a headphone outup. I went to my local electronics store and bought a cable that fits into the headphone jack and then splits into two "audio in" male cables ends for my tv. I put them into my tv and presto I had Video and sound.

I hope you understand this.
