I found a thread at the uTorrent forum where a number of people were recently complaining of this problem.
If you have windows, then the latest updates may be the problem.
See if this applies:
http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=33722

On page 2 is when they start talking about the MS updates.
Some people removed these updates (or restored to a previous time) and others repatched tcpip.sys.

Thanks for getting back.

I know of others with this issue and I can let them know the update is definitely the problem.

I assume you deleted the update.
If you want to just exclude that update, then you can set auto update to notify me but don't automatically download or install them
by going to Start/Control Panel/Automatic Updates.
When the updates come up, uncheck that one and it will give you an option to not notify you about it again.
If you choose that option and want to install it a later date, there is an option on that Automatic Update screen to
Offer updates that I have previously hidden.
You could also go back to auto download and install after that.

I do not know if you patched tcpip.sys prior to the update and the update undid it and that caused the problem (as it did for others), but if you did, then you could just re-patch after the update.
