Hello,

My Swap Magic 3.6 has been scratched to hell, so I bought some baking soda tooth paste. I applied it, waited 2 hours and then watered it off. Didn't fix ONE scratch. What am I doing wrong? Can I get some clear instructions on how to fix DVDs with toothpaste? Thanks!

Don't EVER user toothpaste on a disc!! Toothpaste is an abrasive! It can potentially do more damage to your disc. Take a simple 100% cotton towel and rub the disc in a circular motion rapidly. You want to create a little heat through friction with this method.

There is no excuse NOT to mod! Don't follow the rules, make them!

Toothpaste won't usually work, but if you do choose to try it you've got to rub it on the disc, just leaving it on there will do nothing (and using toothpaste to try and fix your disc will usually do nothing anyway).

Try your local blockbuster and see if they've got a machine that polishes discs and gets the scratches out. You could also try a Disc Doctor which you can usually buy from a video game store.

if you go to a local EB Games, Game Stop, or Game Crazy store they will charge you $2 per disc for a polish and this will get out every scratch. I know this from experience because my Magic Keys were scratching my Swap Magic dvd to where I thought would never be fixed, 2 bucks later and it looked like it was brand new
