I have a customer with a computer that will boot up but wont allow him to get to the windows login screen (Its not a blue screen but I forget what the error is). But everytime I boot it up at my home it comes up perfect, I also tried it at work and it boots fine, and login screen comes up. He says he checked the voltage on the outlet and that 110 is coming out of the walls. He also tried to plug the pc in the same room just different wall and still no luck. I also had him replace the power cord and still didnt work for him. I dont know why it works for me when I get it and not for him at his house. Any Ideas? Thanks.
Try hooking up only the necessary stuff like mouse, keyboard, vid, etc because i had a simalar issue and i unpluger the ethernet cable and voila but check out the BIOS before anything ......worth a try !
When you are testing it at a different location I'm assuming you are using different devices (mice, keyboard, monitor, etc...) so it has to be something that is connected to the PC at their home.
