Hi, need some help with the download speed on utorrent. Are there any settings i need to do? Also i dont understand the ports and that kind of thing. Everytime i get a port there seems to be an error.
I have 4Meg broadband and still the movies are downloading at around 0-20kbps.
Please Help.

As far as the port, you need to clear uTorrent through your software firewall and router (if you have one).
Portforward.com Firewalls
Portforward.com uTorrent & Routers.
You should choose a port in the 49152-65534 range. Port is Blacklisted

As to the settings in uTorrent, go to Options/Speed Guide.
On the speed guide screen there is a link to a speed test.
You should stop all internet activity, including torrents, and take the test several times to get a reliable average.
The important speed for uTorrent settings is the upload speed.
After you have an average go to the pulldown menu on the speed guide screen [where Connection Type) is) and choose a speed close to yours.
This list will show speeds in kilobits. (kbs)
When you choose a speed, uTorrent will automatically adjust several settings within it to their optimal.

The rest of uTorrent shows speeds in kilobytes (kBs).
8kbs = 1kB. So your 4Mbs = 500kBs and the 20kBs you see in uTorrent = 160kbs.
