It's be so long since I ordered from FutureShop. It appears that they no longer have free shipping. They must have stopped it when they gave the option for "in-store" pickup. It also appears "web only" means you have to pay for shipping and cannot opt for "in-store pickup".
You can also try Staples, and The Source. Usually one of them has Verbatim on sale at any given time.
My local Source has unadvertise 8X media that they are trying to get rid of. I bought a Verbatim 10 pack, jewel cased (8 - 8X, 1 - 2.4 DL, 1 - RW) for around $2. They also had Verbatim 10 pack, scratch resistant in slim dvd cases, but I can't remember the price.
