I ordered from ModChipStore.com (don't order from them, even though it's cheap with the modchip promo code).
I ordered the Swap Magic 3.6 discs (dvd and cd), along with the Slim, 3-part thing - listed here
The package contents are like so:
Package Contents
* Swap Magic v3.6 CD Version for Playstation 2
* Swap Magic v3.6 DVD Version for Playstation 2
* V12 Slim Tool
Needless to say, what is listed under package contents is not what I received. Instead I got a disc labeled "Ultimate Collection V2.0" -- along with the little tool.
The tool works fine, I used the 3-part set on my Slim Silver 79001 ps2, and with a slight modification on the Tool C part, it now can run games with the disc door open.
The Ultimate Swap disc just doesn't get read though. I read in previous (year-old) posts here, that you can get it to work, but I can't even get the ps2 to read it.
To end off this rant, here is the words from the piece of paper included in the package (which was sent from P.O. Box 65554 Dundas ON, L9H 6Y6 CANADA)
"You Have Received a FREE Upgrade.
We Value your business and appreciate each and every one of our customers. For this reason, there are times when we do special "unpublished" or "unannounced" upgrades. It is our way of saying THANK YOU for your business. You have been selected, at random, to receive a FREE Ultimate Swap V2.0, the Ultimate Swap Disc contains the Swap Magic 3.6 as well as 12 other MUST HAVE Swap software for your PS2. Such as HD Loader, HD Advance, USB Extreme, Magic Mem, and more. We appreciate your business. For information about the Ultimate Swap Disc please go to http://www.ultimateswap.com
Thank you once again for your business! From all of the staff at ModChipStore.com"
I sent them an email of course. Demanding the stuff I actually paid for and ordered, be sent to me, but I won't be surprised if this goes no where. I already had to modify Tool C to work with my Slim 79001 ps2 (not a biggie, but I suppose I can't return the order now). I clipped off the top-thingy. The important warranty I didn't void, is the Ps2-Warranty. Not that it matters either way. I doubt my slim ps2 will be deemed faulty within a year, so hopefully I never actually have to use it.
When I order again, I guess I will order Swap Magic from one of the places listed here: http://www.swapmagic3.com/Swap_Magic_Where_To_Buy.asp
Supposing they only list sellers who actually send their customers Swap Magic when ordered.
Judging by people's troubles with other vendors like Ps2cover, I'm guessing they won't send me the Real Swap Magic 3.6. If I'm lucky, I can just return the disc and get a partial refund.
Lesson learned I guess. ~_~ (I will have my revenge!)

www.videogameaction.com <- gives the actual product and takes paypal, fast shipping too.. Haha ;P
Actually, by some huge online business commitee (Can't remember the name :(), a company is FORCED to give the customer what he/she ordered, else they are forced to give your money back.
I figure that you just got scammed by that crap company and they gave you a cheap burn disk of wannabe programs..?
Tell them you'll take it up with your credit card company for them scamming, I'm sure they'll get your order right :)

Yeah basically. I'm giving them a chance to right it, you know, since I emailed them. But I've definitely considered checking my next Bank Statement and calling visa regarding that particular charge if we cannot get it resolved the normal way.

Yeah, that's listed at Swap's site, I'm sure they are legit.
