42" Plasma TVs are 1024x768 or at least mine is. My computer is connected through my TV's SVGA input. When i set my graphics card to output 1024x768 resolution on my TV, it fills the whole screen but displays as if it is stretching a 4:3 screen rather than displaying in 16:9. In fact if i set my tv to natural resolution rather than full screen it does display in 4:3 with black bars on the side. Is there any way to get a computer to output a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 1024x768 resolution on my tv. I tried setting it to 1152x768 but then it cuts off part of the picture on my tv. I am using the Radeon Catalyst Control Center. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i have just gotten a new computer and would like to play some hd files with full resolution on my tv.
