Hi, i am having problems with my broadband speed. I have two internet connections, 1 is a 1394 4meg broadband connection and the other is a local area network. My internet only seems to work on the local area network. I have tried closing the LAN but then the internet doesnt work, close the broadband connection and its fine, but really slow. please help. I have windows XP and a Belkin router. the internet company i am with is virgin media if thats any help?

When you have a router it usually creates the LAN network, which is really what your main connection is. You may want to look into your router on the manufacturers webpage to see if there is any way to tweek it for better speeds, or even if there are any firmware updates for the router you have.
