I use a ripper,dvd2avi, and then tmpeg to convert my movies to mpeg's.
Right now I get good quality but I can only fit 90 seconds of video in mail.
I have been seeing the same good quality but with 3 or more minutes of video(16000kb)
What programs are used for that...Any guides?
Thank you

I convert my video to mpeg. I get good quality--But the process that I use takes 16000kb for 90 seconds of video. I have found other mpeg videos that can fit 3 minutes plus in 16000kb and still have the same good quality. I havent been able to figure out how to do that yet. Anytime I get the video down to 16000kb...the quality sucks.

Thanks for trying to help.I have been using a guide from this website... http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2avi_tmpgenc.cfm
I have my settings the same as the guide. (If the guide doesnt state anything specific about a certain setting... it will be the default setting ) I just need to figure out how to get good quality in half the size.
For audio encoding I use Toolame (through the TMPGE program)
The frame rate is 29.97fps
It says the bitrate is 1150

And I do mean 1.6mb

In a simple word the answer is "You Can"t" ,The only way to reduce the size is to reduce the bitrate but that will also reduce the Quality..If you are Trying to Make a standard VCD then you have to use those setting because the VCD standard does not allow for any Changes to the Standard VCD Settings ...What is your Purpose?? Meaning what are going to do with this File?? Are you Makeing a VCD?? What??
