New to the forum not sure if this is the right section but I'm relying on some kind help as I've emailed SwapMagic's email address 20 times to no avail. New to SwapMagic, hence new to SlideTool. I have an older PS2 and from what I've accumulated I need to modify the front panel of my Playstation in order to use it (Yes I do have the custom front panel but have no clue as to how I remove the old one).
Now, I've searched google for guides and the results were THOUSANDS of guides of how to use the tool AFTER the front panel has ALREADY been modified, which doesn't make much sense to me at all...
So please, anyone? Help. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Well after searching around here I found a guide and the guides suggestion happened to be "Rip it off" so I did. And now my Playstation is royally fucked. When it opens it only opens about an inch then goes into a loop, I tried playing with the card inside it a bit to fix it, but failed. I'm pretty sure its completely fucked. On a side note I figured out how to work the card and open it properly, only it stops after its been opened an inch because I chose to believe "Ripping it off" was a good idea. (Thanks whomever made that guide.)
Or maybe this is a common problem and fixable? As I did see someone else post about the same thing happening to him but no solution posted. Help would be appreciated.
Bump...
Anybody? I'm begging here. So far I've managed to get the tray completely open but it wont shut and is still stuck in that one inch loop. Any suggestions?
Edit: I'm going to disassemble and reassemble the system to see if it fixes anything, will check back again soon.
i had similar problem, tray popped of track, with the try as close as possible try to bend center of tray slightly upward with thumbs in center below tray and fingers on the edges on top of tray ang it should pop in
i tried to disassemble the console first, and the power cable came undone so i would not recomend that
