1.6 power issues

i have a 1.6 xbox here with no power, i thought it might be the notorious transistor that is prone to burning out on the 1.6, but it cant be that, ive replaced the transistor, replaced the psu, checked for corroded traces, tried different power/eject boards, i just dont get it, any help? thanks

did you try a different wire. i had that problem it was the wire the connector came loose and i had to move it around to get power to it it would shut off in the middle of a game tho.

which wire do you speak of?, ive tried tons of things, i dont understand it, also, i have another 1.6a here, that i cannot fix the dash on, its always displaying error 21, ive rebuilt the drive in EVERY way possible, from building a new hdd with xboxhdm, trying different harddrives, different dash versions, different online update files, i got it to boot ONE time, and thats because i cloned my modded 1.0 xboxs hdd, and i got it to boot to evox, but i couldnt do anything on it, none of my apps worked, no game discs worked, nothing, all it would do is boot, ive also tried cloning another stock 1.6a hdd(using an eeprom reader to get the eeprom), and it STILL displayed error 21, its been months since i powered it on before yesterday, but the problem is still the same, error 21, im sorry i forgot to describe it in detail

upon pushing the power button, it turns on, goes through the flubber sequence, sits at the xbox logo for a sec, then microsoft comes up for a split second, then it starts flashing red and green, and error 21 pops up, it does this EVERY SINGLE TIME... except for the one time i got it to boot evox with my modded 1.0 xboxs hdd

im losing hope for both of these boxes, any help appreciated greatly, thanks, god knows im never going to even look at another 1.6 again, lol

oh im sory .. the cord coming from the wall. well to make another hdd for it you need the eeprom from teh xbox that you want to put the xbox on unless its chipped . can it boot from a game try reinstalling the softmod on the xbox.

oh, no the cord is fine, cause ive tested the psu in it with another 1.6 and it powers on fine everytime

no it doesnt boot games, ive already tried rebuilding the drive using several different methods, with several different dash versions and update files, i only got it to boot once, using my modded xboxs hdd clone, and it boot to evox, basically my modded xboxs hdd, and i tried to uninstall the softmod, and it completed successfully, but after i rebooted it, it displayed error 21 again

just a suggestion ... scrap it and get a new one.. if youve tryed all that and no luck :(
down at gamestop there only 50 bucks :)

50 bucks for a used xbox? really? thats kind of kool, cause i originally bought that 1.6 for 50, and i bought it in that condition, lol, guess i got ripped off

not realy if you bot it a while ago they just dropped for the season..
