My EvoX dashboard has the following menu options:

Play Game or Media from DVDROM Drive (wont launch)
Play Games loaded on HDD
Game Trainers
DVD MOVIE player - Region Free (wont launch)
Self Installed Emulators (emulators wiped out)
XBMP (wont select as an option)
XBMC (wont select as an option)

Avalaunch Dashboard (wont launch)
System Management
Reboot
Power off

All the menu options I'm having trouble with started after trying to upload Splinter Cell DA. The screen went blank and all the programs used to do the illegal stuff went away. All the games loaded on my HD are still playable, except the one that seemed to cause all the problems (SC:DA). I have few questions...

What do all these programs have in common (besides being illegal)?

Does anybody know how or why this happened?

Are software companys encrypting something in games to prevent all the modding?

What can I do to fix this?

I tried accessing the programs through other sub menus but there is no way around it. It just won't work...any ideas?
