Toshiba Satellite 2710 DVD playback freeze

Please help! I have burned some home videos onto DVD-R. After exactly 35 minutes and 13 seconds (every time on every DVD-R disc) the playback freezes.
I can fast forward onto the next frame and continue playback. When I then rewind past the freeze point and then play the playback does not freeze anynmore. However, the next time I insert that disc, the problem repeats.
Is there any thing that can be doen and is this only a problem that will crop up when I play DVD-R discs in my Toshiba Satellite 2710 DVD laptop?
