Hi

OK im thinking of buying a PCI TV Tuner Card Of Ebay.
It states the minimum system requirements and my computer meets everything but it says that the computer should have a availiable busmaster capable PCI slot. What is a busmaster capable PCI slot and how do I no if I have it or not?

Ive never heard of this before thats why I need some help.

Thank You

It means you need to have an empty PCI slot on your motherboard. And, unless that tuner card is new, there is no way I would buy it off of e-Bay.

Neither had I until I googled it just now. Seems it is a means of getting PCI cards to bypass the CPU. What motherboard do you have? We can probably find out if it supports busmaster.

I believe it's a means of a device plugged into a PCI card to communicate directly with the chipset without requiring the CPU to process any of the information.
